Professional Studio Headshot Session
Session Info
We offer 2 booking slots per day, one morning session and 1 afternoon. Our morning session starts at 8AM and our afternoon session starts at 1PM. During this time there will be no one else in studio with us which means there are no strangers staring at you while you get your headshot taken and you get my full attention throughout the process.
This session offers no time limit and I never book people back to back, so you get all the time we need for our shoot. Because of this we move at your pace and make sure we get everything you need before you leave. I’m not going to keep you there any longer than you need to be (I know you’re busy), but we also don’t need to rush your headshot session because somebody else is booked in straight after you. Every person gets the attention they deserve in order to get the headshots that best fit your needs.
As important as the lighting, posing, composition of the shot is, I'm experienced enough that we can get all of those things right in a few minutes. The part of the shot that takes time, and is the most important ingredient, is the expression. It's much more important to me to produce quality work that I can be proud of, and that you get value from.
This is where our no time limit sessions really come in. The last thing I want is you leaving your headshot session with a headshot that isn't what you wanted because we've only got 4 minutes left and we're not where we need to be yet. It will understandably take a little time to get the right expressions and that is because having a camera in your face will make most people feel uncomfortable, and I understand that. The expression we want is confidence and approachability. We might get there quickly, which is great, or it might take a little longer to get there, which is fine as well, we're not clock watching.
I aim to start each session with a few minutes of coaching, teaching you all the secrets I know about expression, angles, positioning, hair, lighting, etc. This way once we start shooting you will already feel much more comfortable with the terms and how you should be moving your body and face in order to get the best images from this session. I will continue to coach throughout the session with everything you need to know so at no point will you will feel confused as to what is going on. I tell everyone, my goal is to take the best headshots you’ve ever had, and I'll spend as little or as long as is needed in order to get them. I love shooting headshots, so I'm in no rush to finish our shoot.
We will stop once or twice throughout the session and look at some of the images we have taken. I do this so we can see what we are getting and if there is anything you want to change so that we are constantly moving forward towards the best headshots we can create. It's a fun, relaxed atmosphere that lends well to getting the expressions you need from your headshots.
At the end of the session, we'll sit down, grab a coffee, and review all of the images we shot. From there, you will pick your favorite shots which will professionally edited and retouched. During this time I can give you as much or as little input as you like on what the best shots are. I tell people it is sometimes nice to have an objective opinion other than our own on what we look like. As well as the full resolution images, I'll also make sure you receive the same shots that are custom size and crops for social media platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc. That will save you the trouble of re-sizing and cropping the shots after you receive them.

PLUS - $50 per image fee.
Per image fee includes professional retouching and delivery.
At the end of the session, we'll sit down, grab a coffee and go through the images together. The final images you select are chosen individually at the end of the session and therefore puts you in complete control of the final cost depending on how many images you decide on.
I don't want anyone to pay for more than they need, and since every person has different needs, I dont package my images together. This makes sure no one is over committing or under committing in terms of how many images they require from the session. You can simply decide on the day.
I'm fully committed to making sure your headshot is the very highest quality and is working for you and representing you in the way you need it to, while making you look great. A huge amount of my business is based on referrals so my aim is for you to leave the shoot and tell your friends all about your new headshots and what a great experience it was.

HEADSHOTS VS. PORTRAITS
Our headshot sessions are up close and personal. All images are captured from chest up and our main focus during the shoot is expression (confidence and approachability). We coach you throughout this process in order to craft superb images that will further your career development and give you the very best representation possible. We often vary the background colors and love a variety of clothing changes over the course of the session. We have a very distinct lighting style that we feel creates standout headshots that will get you noticed and help you stand out against the rest!
Our portrait sessions are where we start getting a but more creative and will vary things up quite a bit. This will have a more consultative approach where our goal is to have you walk away with a broader range of photographs that will give you everything you will need for your personal branding purposes. In this style session we will vary lighting, backgrounds, angles, distance from camera, etc.
CUSTOM PORTRAIT SESSION
Our custom portrait session option is a fully customized, consult driven experience. This will be priced out on a per job basis, and will give you the most variety and input on the final product.
